The Queen Anne's Soil Conservation District Equipment Shop has been providing conservation services to the Queen Anne's County agricultural community since 1941.  In the early years,  the Shop worked with landowners providing drainage systems, erosion control devices, and sediment control ponds.  While the Shop still provides these services, the face of conservation has changed.  Buffer plantings, wetland creations and restorations, shallow water areas for wildlife, and waste management facilities are many of the practices installed today.  Apart from construction, the Shop also provides maintenance, such as ditch clean-out,  to conservation services.
